Different repair costs for same part? (rMBP upper case)


so far i've had great love affair 2012 rmbp (barring logic board replacement apple did free because of gpu repair program), trackpad has been acting up. took shop , conclusion trackpad needed replacement (out of warranty), since policy replace entire upper case cost me around $500 fixed (new keyboard, new battery, new trackpad, etc, though keyboard , battery fine).

checking around, , price replace battery $200. if official policy replace entire top case instead of removing glued in battery, how come both repairs have such different prices? possible have processed battery replacement? find price difference ridiculous if in essence both repairs identical.
 

i don't think glued in. triwing screws hold in. had repair done , battery replaced because had bulged , damaged trackpad, replaced , upper shell.

[SOLVED] SFOTT usb key not bootable Mavericks
