Keyboard issues rMB 1.2


so put computer sleep 2 nights ago after working on day no issues. woke yesterday afternoon more work, , unable login @ lock screen.

fine, thought – give few minutes, know can unresponsive when waking sleep. after keeping machine awake using trackpad (yeah, working) , still being unable type after 5 minutes, decided reboot machine.

power cycle happened normally, , comes (file vault enabled) login normal. click on face, go login, nothing happens when press keys! didn't have spare usb keyboard me yesterday, i'm in office today one, connected through usb->usb-c adapter, , it's working okay.

internal keyboard type few random letters when press - xxxxxxxxcxxx or, know, weird combination.

strange part, can't seem machine boot apple diagnostics? (d). it'll boot recovery, , keyboard issues persist - in both recovery, normal session (after using usb keyboard login) , guest mode.

normal not able use external keyboard boot apple diagnostics?

has else had weird keyboard issues, seemingly no reason?

i've gone through online support steps, , had conversation apple tech - did same things did. have genius bar appointment end of next week (no other appointments!).
 

yikes. i've had weird situations usb extended keyboard connected imac has weirdly stopped working, after hard restart couldn't enter login had try second hard restart. after worked again. thought weird usb issue, have been os glitch. in case, symptoms sound point simpler diagnosis, there's possibly hardware problem keyboard or internal wiring uses connect logic board.

entire machine before going in genius bar appointment because if you're lucky , decide it's faulty, may want swap out new 1 on spot.

let know how go, it's keep eye on how new hardware working out in real world. if there lots of reports online of technical issues new keyboard design, i'm sure make easier of make argument exchange new machine if there's problem.

Help Needed! 15" 2015 rMBP crash - extremely hot

good morning world, ive had laptop week , thing has been absolute please , have loves every minute of week new beauty. (i got standard 16gb 256 pci model. not higher end 15") last night watching show regular website. think vh1 (nothing un trusted or weird, think) , of sudden crashed , rmbp turned dark blue , shut off , turned on , think if remember correctly asked if wanted boot (press key boot up, system crashed) that, did , have been using morning , thing not working right @ all! super hot , ill attach images show memory cpu , battery because had 86% , showing me 1:29 min remaining or , battery percentage falling down fast can watch percentage go down , bothering me thing brand new. thing using while happening safari , reminders , mail. 4-5 tabs , regular non video websites. don't know fix or try rid of it. there boot can or need try? question mark in dock happened right after crashed , icon supposed xcode beta (the latest one) there ...

Safari and keyword search extensions (or apps)

i use 2 things safari: fastscripts cmd-# shortcuts tabs in safari firefox/chrome (which not necessary in el capitan, thankfully), , safari keyword search keyword searching in bar (e.g., "wp spokane" searches wikipedia article spokane , goes if/when possible). latter: safari keyword search abandonware. creator has nothing on home page nor github in years. there little bug where, inexplicably, dumps saved keywords, requiring manual reimports. i've tried omnikey , don't based on how can't handle encoding of spaces in search strings, how stores saved entries. keysearch: don't know how handles spaces in searches. may abandonware, has not had major update since updated safari 6 years ago. glims: don't know if still around. overkill anyway. have other suggestions on minimalist, still-supported utility keyword searching in address bar? nice able "wp" , "i" , "a" wikipedia / google image / ama...
