Trying to install ubuntu on new macbook, but keyboard and hard drive can't be recoganized...

i got new macbook because of supreme mobility. never used mac before, , have decided put ubuntu on before purchased it. process way painful, , cornered here...

followed instructions online, , here did:

installed refind 0.8.7 on mac have boot options. make live cd (ubuntu 14.04) boot from. once boots up, according tutorials, should boot legacy loader, gave me error, 1 boot called grub64xxx. can options install ubuntu, once purple screen, keyboard not working, mouse not working... keyboard not lit up.

deal that, bought usb hub , attach mouse , keyboard it. external keyboard , mouse work, , can click button go next step, however, ubuntu live cd told me don't have enough space install, though have enough space install 10 ubuntus. can see ubuntu doesn't recognize hard drive. if attach usb stick it, recognize , let me install on usb stick...

think problem is, once boot other mac system, hardwares not working @ all! there anyway can work around this? model new, hence not many helpful information online yet. struggling since big purchase , can't return more. or have learn mac system, might take me while... , use ubuntu on other pcs, kinda painful.

i assume talking new 12" macbook? may because it's new , ubuntu can't recognize new hardware.
