What is the maximum size HDD I can put in Mac Mini 2012

i've updated 2012 mac mini 256g sdd

i'm thinking of getting cable , installing hdd inside mini can store itunes library internally rather externally

it's stored on external 2tb drive want minimum of 2tb internally wondered if add 3 or 4 tb drive (maybe partition drive have itunes partition, time machine partition (only sdd itunes library backed external hdd every night), , 'general' storage partition

largest hdd add , there need consider?
