MBP/rMBP Owners and your experience with battery replacement


hi all,

called apple buy replacement battery ancient mbp a1260 (core2duo ~2008) , found out discontinued batteries, warranting maybe time me upgrade laptop.

main question mbp , rmbp owners batteries glued in.
1. how experience battery replacement apple?
2. how long did technicians take replace batteries?
3. how battery's capacity after year newer mbp/rmbps?

curious go through new battery once year (i not have best battery cycling habits , easier me replace each year) , if current owners see drop in battery performance each year, i'll have spend 100+ battery replacement + laptop out-of-commission during replacement process...

firstly batteries better these days , better power management on macbooks seems give them longer life too. rare hear of peoples batteries in rmbp lasting less 3 years, have had mine 18 months , charge when feel long , mine still new after 200 odd cycles.

in fact have never had have 1 replaced 2010 mbp getting shorter battery life brother still going strong 5 years on.

far know battery replacements while wait, have no personal experience.

Find my Friends
