recently, tried update osx yosemite 10.10.5. downloaded update straight apple , both times now, install restart computer, it's supposed to, halfway through rebooting(apple logo screen) stop booting halfway through on progress bar , stop. sit there 10 minutes , computer turn off. try restart manually, same thing. try reboot recovery. nothing. goes apple logo , boots halfway stops. it's important note have brand new samsung 850 evo installed. so, remove hard drive bay , reinstall original hdd has yosemite 10.10.4. , computer boot right no problem. connect new ssd laptop via dock , disk utility says can't verify disk or repair or anything. have erase ssd , start on again. time around, not trying update 10.10.5. thoughts??? real weird considering ssd , hdd both took previous version of yosemite without issue...   see answer thread here: http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/

hello guys, have jailbroken iphone 5s running on ios 8.3 , battery draining off fast.i have installed following tweaks: alkaline bigify bioprotect ccsetting chroma circleicons cylinder killbackground8 lockglyph noslowanimation priority hub smarttap spin timepassword winterboard zeppelin wanted know tweaks consumes more battery. thank you.   your warning won't mean other people since it's general lot of tweaks mention don't negatively affect battery life (winterboard big offender though). plus have other factors affecting battery life such as: - didn't make clean wipe / install of 8.3 through itunes - restored backup after updating - have 2 year old 5s worn down battery figure out 1 draining battery uninstall tweaks, reinstall 1 , use bit see if battery being drained. repeat cycle until figure out wrong phone.

here situation. trying sister (remotely). getting constant message phone not being backed because there not enough space. ok..so go manage storage in icloud in settings. shows next backup size 5.7 gb. shows photo library 5.1 gb of it. go photos , copy of photos , videos off of phone , onto computer. delete photos , videos copied phone. when check general, usage, manage storage, can see "photos , camera" takes 1.2 gb. when go icloud manage storage, still shows next backup needs 5.7 gb total, , photos still 5.1 gb. main question "what photos selected backed up?" because obvious if there 1.2 gb of photos on phone, , wants put 5.1...there missing , not understanding how apple set way backs stuff up. may have been 3 months since last backup. still trying backup photo stream past 3 months? though have deleted them phone? make sense? insight matter appreciated. , how @ current set of info on phone. thanks, jerry

hi, download app apple using internet download manager after downloading ipa file not signed apple id , lacked itunesartwork , itunesmetadata.plist files. u there solution resolve or must download app using slow itunes.   as far can tell, way download app apple either app store on phone, or itunes on pc/mac. there is/was app called imodsign, sign app, if legitimately downloaded app, there should no reason this. app used install pirated apps. know people can try make excuses (lost password itunes account, etc...) primary use of app. can not share or how it, , encourage buy app in question. if not trying that, recommend download app directly app store on phone, or on pc/mac without "internet download manager" mentioned.   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

hi all, have weird problem. actually, it's friends problem , i'm involved. since think it's easier understand point of view, i'm going write way! trying use mac app store update 10.9.5 yosemite. logged app store. when click download/install button yosemite, message asking me log-in account. not problem, except friends id comes , can't seem change it. neither of have recollection of ever logging account on either of others computer, somehow happening. further difficulty app store won't let me log out or change id in field can use own id. appear logged own id in app store, when trying update, new problem happens. can't make sense of problem in way shape or form. there part interesting, can't seem make connection current problem: in communal living situation in november dsl connection slow-medium speed. there 10 of wanted upgrade yosemite, instead of taking 5-10 days download 5gb each person, 1 person downloa

hi, watching locally movie vlc 4% of battery left. closed lid go charger (usual behaviour stay there, no shutdown etc) didn't rightaway. when got it, opened screen black , machine non responsive. thoght ran out of battery. plugged in , nothing. waited few minutes of charging (orange led) , tried waking / boot up. nothing. googled problem , tried these tricks of resetting smc, pram, nvram etc. none of worked (with charged computer). rmbp 13" doesn't have unpluggable battery had nothing else try. in end found way remove screws on , disconnect battery few minutes, plugged in... , nothing! didn't update system or don't know what's going on. ideas?   seems it's problem logic board. happened me few months back. had take apple store fixed.   Forums Macs
