am being thick? did use iphotos before, , i'm sure when imported things it, realised folder name album of pics same holiday. keep backup of pics in folders, , able them easily, , have photos folders backing onto flickr. thought id give photos try, save doubling amount of space on mac, create new photos database, pics not imported photos, untucked 'copy items photos library' , dragged 'pictures' folder onto photos , left sort them out. , , 1 album. how photos import these 100 folders , realise each folder different album or event or whatever wants call it, not lump together?   it looks can't. whats more annoying if drag in bunch of photos date, e.g 1st june 2015, photos decides stick them in folder todays date..... ridiculous! think i'm going abandon trying work apple photos, keep photos separately organised in folders in logical way ( year/month/ event - dat

so purchased icloud plan. have turned icloud on on imac, iphone , ipad. under impression photos new photos app on imac upload magical cloud , able retrieve them on iphone , ipad. doesn't seem uploading icloud. followed directions, might missing? and.... being eternal optimist, once photos in magical icloud can stop syncing them on phone have them me correct? leaving memory space free on iphone.   on idevices need turn on icloud photo library in settings -> "photos , camera" check "optimise iphone storage" and/or "optimise ipad storage". on imac need launch photos app , create library if haven't already. in photos preferences on imac turn on icloud photo library. suggest not turning on photostream unless know why want to. syncing uploading willtake litle while first time depending on how many photos. dont understand last sentence stopp

hello everyone, although have been lurking around here while looking @ forums, first post. have owned macbook pro late 2011 15 inch around 3 years. whilst running osx screen went blue usual symptoms (that saw on forum) logic board replacement. got logic board replaced free, grateful for. however, in bootcamp whilst running windows 7 randomly distorted lines , black line separating screen in 2 (as if mid way of going screen in osx). anyways, usual suspect of same issue, however, can't seem understand no other post on internet or forum seems ressemble case. happens me when under bootcamp , can't seem replicate through osx (despite trying put graphic intense game on osx) case of faulty logic board mbp 2011 15 inch, or else? thanks! p.s don't if changes but: after having received new logic board, replaced ssd , ram. removed optical bay , old hdd in it. however, meant had difficulties installing windows (no optical drive).

just got new set up: mac mini running latest os (10.10.5) plugged samsung monitor (model s24d300) hdmi, , when wake system sleep mode screen appears though contrast turned way up. settings on monitor , within mac mini haven't changed, looks contrast turned up. fixing unplugging hdmi cable plugging in. use system settings>accessibility>display contrast , turn slider down , fixes it. strange thing took screen shot on, viewed screenshot after fixing it, , appeared normal. apparently problem correct signal not making it's way monitor upon waking up. not big deal, still fixed if possible. i've tried various settings on monitor itself, doesn't make difference. hdmi cable perhaps? appreciated.   strange... migrated system had screen higher resolution on it. did simple resizing of wallpaper shrink new size, , contrast glitch no longer happening. thing when left program win

am out of luck in switching out? i've had 5 weeks , notice 3 noticeable scratches in bottom left corner. know should have had scree protector on go..but didn't expect scratched soon. has had luck returning them? ordered screen protectors prevent further damage. i'm hoping might hide scratches there..even if little bit. love watch, incredibly disappointing aspect of it.   the sport has same ion-x glass iphone, meaning it's scratchable. had unrealistic expectation, people expect them on iphone , many use screen protector result. ss model if don't want worry obvious scratches (although oleophobic coating still scratch they're not visible unless under lights).   Forums Apple Watch Apple Watch iPhone Mac OS & System Software
