i using pq321q 31.5" 4k monitor gtx980 @ scaled resolution of 3008x 1692 , applications having performance issues because of scaled resoltuions gpu stress i'm assuming. example adobe speedgrade cc has massive ui lag , sequence viewers djv , pdplayer applications not playing in realtime. have tested ui performance in native 3840x2160 , works fine, unfortunately it's bit small comfortable use. there way have applications open in non scaled resolution, terminal command or anything. under impression os x's scaling independent , apps can take advantage of it.   seems found solution unaware about. if select , app , go "get info" can select "open in low resolution". seems have fixed issues 3rd party apps , performance. great, hope helps!   Forums Macs

hi! i've been using mavericks on macbook pro 2011 until few days ago. played graphically intensive games on windows battlefield 3. rock solid. these days, wanting upgrade office 2016, did clean install of el capitan public beta. first fews days worked out ok, few glitches here , there. today, screen got graphics corruption , system locked up. sadly, main work laptop never booted system again, not windows. guess radeon hd6490m gone! way booted el capitan again removing amd kexts extensions system directory. heed warning, el capitan may fry gfx , kill mac.   this has nothing 10.11. graphics card have gone regardless of os running. take in genius bar. it's possible there extension program cover repair. if not, you'll pay 300 flat rate repair.   Forums Macs macOS

thread title says all. in latest itunes on mac can of course play apple music stuff, or play (pre-existing) internet radio stations. see them in remote on iphone in 'now playing' , can pause or skip ahead. can't find or start play of either in remote. know can stream phone using airplay, it's not reliable streaming mac (hardwired) , drains phone battery. similar happened last time apple did big itunes update. took them while remote in line. grrr.   it not work itunes match well. not use apple music, itunes match. can control offline songs remote app, can no longer see music in cloud via app. previously, worked pretty well.   Forums Apple and Apple Services Apple Music, Apple Pay, iCloud, Apple Services iPhone Mac OS & System So
